Ethiopia determined to reclaim link to the sea

Addis Ababa Ethiopia wants to make the reopening of two roads linking the landlocked country to Red Sea ports in Eritrea a priority as the nations reconcile, the government says. In a move that ended a 20-year military stand-off, the African neighbours have agreed to open embassies and resume flights. (Reuters)

Four oil terminals in eastern Libya are being reopened after the faction controlling the ports handed them back to the government in Tripoli. Ras Lanuf, Es Sider, Zueitina and Hariga were attacked last month by opponents of Khalifa Haftar, who controls the region. Field Marshal Haftar took them back but denied Tripoli access to them, shutting down oil output. (Reuters)
