She had a high flying finance career before marrying the King of The Netherlands, and today Queen Maxima went back to her roots during her official visit to Ethiopia.

The monarch paid a visit to the National Bank of Ethiopia and the Ministry of Finance in Addis Ababa as she wrapped up her two-day trip to the East African country.

Donning a beige dress adorned with splatters of vibrant green at the waist, Maxima beamed as she shook hands with official in the Ethiopian capital.

Showing off her penchant for co-ordination, she matched her outfit with a mint green clutch and peep-toe sandals in a similar shade.
